The Department of Justice will release several hundred thousand documents related to Jeffrey Epstein on Friday, with several hundred thousand more expected over the following weeks. The phased release will not meet the 30-day deadline for releasing all Epstein files. Multiple lawmakers criticized the partial release and demanded full disclosure. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer asserted the administration had 30 days to release all files and called failure to do so a violation of the law. Representatives Jamie Raskin and Robert Garcia accused the DOJ and the administration of violating federal law and are examining legal options. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene also urged immediate release of all files.
