UK parliamentary committee seeks answers over US firm BCG's role in Gaza
Briefly

A UK parliamentary committee is investigating Boston Consulting Group's (BCG) involvement in the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), following reports of over 700 Palestinian deaths linked to GHF's aid distribution. Labour MP Liam Byrne requested detailed information from BCG about its operations in Gaza, including its timeline for establishing the GHF and its financial backers. The GHF, which was created with substantial BCG involvement, has faced criticism from various humanitarian organizations and has been disavowed by the UN, emphasizing the controversy surrounding its operations.
Labour Party MP Liam Byrne, who chairs the House of Commons Business and Trade Select Committee, asked Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in a letter on Wednesday for clarification and information about its work in the besieged enclave, adding that the query was part of the committee's scrutiny of the UK's commercial, political and humanitarian links to the conflict.
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has been disavowed by the United Nations and numerous aid organisations, amid reports that over 700 Palestinians have been killed trying to access aid at distribution centres run by the GHF.
Byrne's letter demanded a clear timeline of when BCG began work on establishing the GHF, as well as details regarding other companies and institutions linked to the group's creation.
The Financial Times reported that BCG had drawn up an estimate of the costs of relocating Palestinians from Gaza and signed a multimillion-dollar contract to help create the GHF.
