Donald Trump publicly pledged to save New York City from the recently winning Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani, labeling him a 'Communist Lunatic' on social media. Trump expressed confidence in his power and influence, promising to make the city great again. He previously threatened to cut federal funding to New York if Mamdani won the primary and mentioned possible legal actions against him concerning campaign promises to remove ICE. Trump also questioned Mamdani's citizenship status, claiming many believe he may not be legally in the U.S.
