Trump Says He's Been 'Blinking' Not Sleeping During Meetings
"I'll just close. It's very relaxing to me, he said. Sometimes they'll take a picture of me blinking, blinking, and they'll catch me with the blink."
"In retrospect, it's too bad I took it because it gave them a little ammunition," he said about the scan."
President Donald Trump denied falling asleep during White House meetings and said people have simply caught him blinking. He described his health as perfect and attributed visible bruising on his hands to a daily aspirin dose higher than doctors recommend. He acknowledged getting a cardiovascular and abdominal scan in October and said the scan gave critics ammunition. Administration officials have been urged to shorten presentations for the president. Dr. Mehmet Oz said he believed Trump became bored in a November meeting where cameras appeared to show him dozing. Trump said he is not a big sleeper and often communicates with aides late into the night.
