She criticized the vice president for failing to unequivocally condemn the texts. She urged the Republican Party to have a Buckley moment and expel extremist elements such as the John Birch Society. She warned that far-right coalition members who resist condemning anti-Semitism and anti-black racism are not the voters to win and said she will not vote for them. She noted Donald Trump won record numbers of Black and Jewish voters and called the failure to immediately condemn the writings appalling.
