Trump Attacks MTG Day After She Said His Rhetoric Led to 700 Death Threats Against Her and Her Kids
"Greene spoke to Michaels about the first time Trump called her a traitor after she refused to back down on signing the discharge petition to release the Epstein files. And so I refused to do it. And then, next thing you know, here comes out a late-night Truth Social on a Friday night that called me a traitor' which is what, by our law, traitors are either imprisoned or put to death."
"And then he said he's going to primary me. I'm like, Okay, now you're going to He's got, they have, I think, what is it, like two billion dollars in their super PAC, and he's got a massive campaign machine. And they're going to put that on top of me like they're doing to Thomas Massie, after all that I have done, because I'm standing with women who were raped as teenagers."
President Donald Trump took questions aboard Air Force One and criticized former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene while asked about endorsing a replacement in the special election. Greene told podcaster Jillian Michaels that she received over 700 death threats, including threats to her children, after Trump's attacks and that his calling her a "traitor" followed her refusal to withdraw from signing a discharge petition to release Epstein files. Greene said Trump meant traitor to him personally and threatened to primary her, citing a powerful super PAC and campaign resources. Greene announced her retirement, saying the feud with Trump drove her out of politics. She recounted pipe bomb threats to her home and family business and direct death threats that began days after Trump's actions.
