Trump, Asked if He Must Uphold Constitution: 'I Don't Know'
Briefly

In a recent interview on Meet the Press, President Donald Trump was questioned by NBC's Kristen Welker regarding the Constitution and migrant deportations. When asked about the necessity of upholding the constitutional right to due process, Trump ambiguously responded, "I don't know," citing the overwhelming number of trials such deportations would require. He highlighted his priorities to deport dangerous criminals, while asserting that ongoing legal interpretations challenge his ability to act, ultimately relying on his legal team for guidance on Supreme Court rulings.
I don't know, Trump replied. I'm not a lawyer. I don't know. Well, the Fifth Amendment says as much, Welker replied.
It seems it might say that, but if you're talking about that, then we'd have to have a million or 2 million or 3 million trials.
I was elected to get them the hell out of here and the courts are holding me from doing it.
I have brilliant lawyers that work for me, and they are going to obviously follow what the Supreme Court said.
