The State Department revoked visas for six foreign nationals after citing online comments that celebrated the killing of an American named Kirk. A Mexican national posted that Kirk "died being a racist, he died being a misogynist" and that "there are people who deserve to die." The revoked individuals came from Argentina, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Germany and Paraguay. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said revocations were underway for those who praised Kirk's death. The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression is suing provisions used to deport people for speech, and its attorney argued noncitizens retain free-speech rights.
