A pulsed energy weapon called "The Discombobulator" disabled Venezuelan equipment and prevented rockets from launching. Operations previously shut off almost all lights in Caracas without detailing methods. The U.S. carried out a strike on an alleged drug‑trafficking boat in the eastern Pacific and has conducted at least 36 known strikes on boats in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific since early September, killing at least 117 people.
