However, there were more partisan outcomes: Republican-appointed judges sided with the president in 84 percent of the cases, while Democratic-appointed judges sided with the challengers in 85 percent of the cases."
Court Accountability examined hundreds of cases involving the Trump administration, including executive orders and presidential actions. District courts ruled in favor of challengers roughly 60 percent of the time across 240 orders, with Trump-appointed judges siding with challengers 55 percent of the time. Circuit courts showed a similar overall challenger win rate near 59 percent across 90 orders, but outcomes split sharply by appointer: Republican-appointed judges favored the president 84 percent, while Democratic-appointed judges favored challengers 85 percent. The Supreme Court issued 23 rulings and temporary orders related to the administration and ruled for the administration in 90 percent of those instances.
