Officers will be monitoring the designated routes students will be following to ensure the safety of all pedestrians and drivers alike, San Mateo police stated in an advisory the law enforcement agency issued Thursday."
"Police anticipate that the students will travel southbound from Burlingame to San Mateo's Central Park, which is near the corner of El Camino Real and East 5th Avenue. Police believe traveling times will begin around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, so people can arrive at the park around 1 p.m. Police expect that the activities will be completed around 4 p.m."
