Notes From an ICE Chaser
Border Patrol commander Gregory Bovino arrived in Minnesota after traveling from Illinois through North Carolina and Louisiana. A dozen cars followed him, including journalists and “commuters” who track immigration agents to alert communities. The press team documented the effects of Trump administration surges of federal immigration agents while driving aggressively in rental cars. The narrator kept pace without blocking agents or commuters, then confronted a BMW cutting off their car and realized it carried masked Border Patrol agents. After braking and signaling, the agents mocked the narrator at a traffic light, indicating they recognized him as part of Bovino’s monitored group. The narrator began recording ICE and National Guard activity in Washington, DC, after Trump deployed them there, shifting from far-right writing to video coverage.
