"Protect Children's Innocence Act"

"significant."
"There's leverage there. Somewhere," she said. "There's concern that this isn't a winning move in swing districts."
House bill HR 3492, titled the Protect Children's Innocence Act, passed the House 216-211 and would make prescribing gender-affirming healthcare to under-18s a federal crime. The legislation would criminalise treatments such as puberty blockers and impose penalties including up to 10 years imprisonment and substantial fines. Three Democrats — Henry Cuellar, Vincente Gonzalez Jr, and Don Davis — voted with 213 Republicans to approve the bill, while four Republicans joined 207 Democrats in opposing it. The bill now moves to the Senate, where analysts view passage as unlikely.
