Aliya Rahman, a Minneapolis resident, filed a federal tort claim against the Department of Homeland Security after being violently detained by ICE officers. During the incident, her car was blocked, her window was smashed, and she was forcibly removed despite informing officers of her disabilities. Rahman was denied medical care while in ICE custody and later fell unconscious, waking up in a hospital. Her legal team claims the actions of ICE were illegal and seeks accountability for the excessive force used against her.
