Mike Johnson Confronted On Whether Trump is in Epstein Files
Briefly

During an appearance on ABC's This Week, House Speaker Mike Johnson was put on the spot by Jon Karl concerning Elon Musk's claim about President Trump's connection to Jeffrey Epstein's files. Johnson's apprehension was evident as he hesitated and echoed earlier statements made by FBI Director Kash Patel, stating it's not his area of expertise. When pressed further about Musk's comments, he avoided direct criticism, suggesting the need for collective effort among politicians despite heightened emotions surrounding the topic.
Johnson squirmed at the query shaking his head and swallowing hard as he delivered the same non-response as FBI Director Kash Patel.
I don't know. I can tell you that we have no concern about President Trump or his involvement in any of that nonsense.
I think there's a lot of emotion involved in it, but it's in the interest of the country for everybody to work together.
Karl pressed Johnson to address why the files have not been made public despite some Republicans in the House clamoring for their release.
