Mail-in voting backed by most Americans despite Trump push to end it

Majorities in both parties — 89% of Democrats and 71% of Republicans — favor at least two weeks of early in-person voting. In the last presidential election, 38% of Trump voters were more likely to vote in person on Election Day compared with 29% of Harris voters. The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The poll was conducted August 4-10 among 3,554 adults with a margin of error of ±1.8 percentage points.
