"This has to stop. This cycle must end. Johnson continued: Is any Democrat courageous enough to disavow violence? To call for individuals that espouse these things, like what happened to my family, what's happening in Virginia to call for those kinds of candidates to step down? Will Democrats vote for that? Because if you're voting for that, implicitly you're encouraging it. You're endorsing it. I don't want political violence I want peace in this nation. I love this country."
"But you cannot make peace with evil as a Christian. You cannot unite with people who want you dead. I want unity in this nation. I want to be able to agree on more than what we disagree on. But for that first to happen, we must understand the battle. We are fighting good versus evil, darkness versus light. And good must conquer evil. Do not make peace with evil."
"Left-wing violence is exploding with copycats appearing everywhere. It is the greatest threat to our country today, targeting people for simply speaking the truth. Let me be absolutely clear: We will not be silenced. We will not back down. We will not break. You lit a fire that cannot be put out. Charlie Kirk taught us to go on offense"
Benny Johnson joined Attorney General Pam Bondi at a DOJ press conference announcing the arrest of a man accused of threatening Johnson and his family. Johnson wrote that the suspect sent a letter to his home saying he hated their views and wanted them dead, and that the suspect faces federal charges. Johnson blamed the Democratic Party for mainstreaming violence and demanded Democrats disavow candidates who espouse violence. Johnson framed the conflict as a moral battle of good versus evil, affirmed refusal to be silenced, and invoked Charlie Kirk as inspiration to go on offense.
