Anthony Tordillos nominated Aimée Escobar to fill the District 3 seat on the San Jose Planning Commission following his move to the City Council. If confirmed by councilmembers, Escobar, 52, will join the 11-member advisory body guiding land-use decisions and will represent downtown neighborhoods during post-COVID revitalization efforts. Escobar brings 25 years of land use and planning experience, including a decade as a housing policy analyst for the Santa Clara County Housing Authority and ten years on the Santa Clara County Planning Commission. She works as an analyst in Santa Clara's city manager office and holds a master's in urban and regional planning from San Jose State University.
