Leavitt was hit with Epstein questions immediately on Wednesday, shortly after thousands of Epstein documents were released by both House Republicans and Democrats. Democrats with the House Oversight Committee released multiple emails Epstein wrote in which he referenced Trump the two were former friends including saying Trump spent hours with an alleged victim at Epstein's home."
"These emails prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong. And what President Trump has always said is that he was from Palm Beach and so was Jeffrey Epstein. Jeffrey Epstein was a member at Mar-a-Lago until President Trump kicked him out because Jeffrey Epstein was a pedophile and he was a creep, Leavitt said."
"She also noted that the emails redact the name of the alleged victim, the late Virginia Giuffre. Leavitt argued this proves Trump's innocence as Giuffre long maintained she had never witnessed Trump commit any wrongdoing with Epstein. Epstein died of an apparent suicide in 2019 while facing sex trafficking charges. His longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell is now serving 20 years for sex trafficking."
