"Dershowitz said, Well, at that point, Epstein and I were enemies. Obviously, he thought I had made him a terrible deal, that sweetheart deal.' He refused to pay me my legal fee. I threatened to sue him. I was not in a good relationship with him. He continued, I've never seen that email, but I can easily imagine him thinking that I'm a little bit kooky."
Newly released 2018 emails show Jeffrey Epstein called Donald Trump 'borderline insane' and described Alan Dershowitz as only a few feet further from that border. Epstein wrote to Lawrence Summers that he hoped someone close to Trump would be indicted, fearing the pressure of the unknown would force Trump to do 'crazy things.' Summers sought Epstein's advice about courting women months before Epstein’s arrest for trafficking. Dershowitz told Piers Morgan that he and Epstein were enemies, that Epstein refused to pay legal fees, and that he could imagine Epstein calling him 'a little bit kooky.' Dershowitz later engaged in public political and legal confrontations.
