James Carville panned his own party and branded President Donald Trump as mentally unstable, arguing Democrats are ineffective at countering him. He dismissed pursuing a medical evaluation as unlikely to help the country, even if it identified origins of the condition. He said Republicans know Trump is unstable but lack inclination to act or disclose that fact. Carville compared Trump to people seen on street corners and described Democrats as impotent "on the clock," warning the nation risks disintegration unless some Republicans intervene to check the president's behavior.
