We have a criminal justice system in this country. We have civil litigation. And former Presidents are not immune from being held accountable by either one.
Even though Trump's own impeachment lawyer and McConnell had used the exact opposite reasoning—that Trump could still be held accountable by the courts for his actions as President—as Trump's Get-Out-of-Jail-Free card three years earlier.
