The new 2026 free-admission schedule includes Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Constitution Day, Veterans Day, Theodore Roosevelt’s birthday (Oct. 27) and the Park Service anniversary (Aug. 25). The policy takes effect Jan. 1. The plan also raises fees for international visitors, adding up to $100 extra for some sites and increasing international annual passes to $250 versus $80 for U.S. residents. Critics called the changes racially insensitive.
