A candlelight vigil in South Bend honored Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen and mother killed by an ICE agent in Minnesota. House Republicans held a Judiciary Committee hearing on Europe’s free speech laws that featured anti-trans commentator Graham Linehan, an operative from Alliance Defending Freedom International, and a conservative Finnish lawmaker. Democrats criticized the hearing as a distraction from oversight of the Department of Homeland Security amid scrutiny of the Minnesota shooting and questioned why DHS officials and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem were not summoned. Linehan said gender ideology and free speech cannot coexist and blamed lost work on the U.K. government.
