Georgia votes in high-stakes primary for Marjorie Taylor Greene's House seat

"Republican former prosecutor Clay Fuller is likely to come out of Tuesday's jungle primary, in which the top two candidates go to a runoff regardless of party, alongside retired army general Shawn Harris, a Democrat. The two would face a run-off election on 7 April. Fuller has Trump's endorsement and had raised more than $1m leading into voting Tuesday, but Harris, who faced Greene two years ago, has raised more than four times as much."

The jungle primary allows the top two candidates regardless of party to advance to an April runoff. Fuller raised over $1 million with Trump's backing, while Harris raised four times that amount. The Republican field remains fractured among a dozen candidates despite four dropouts. Though Cook Political Report rates the district R+19, Democrats have overperformed in Republican areas since Trump's election, presenting an unusual opportunity.
