Briefly

We Got The Power is a prototype public artistic action connected to The People vs. Project 2025 initiative, aimed at opposing Project 2025 and Heritage Foundation–aligned Christian fundamentalist influence. The San Francisco action features a large-scale public performance with a perimeter procession, multiple independent performances, and an adapted mix of the song The Power by Snap. The public schedule runs from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Civic Center Plaza, with rehearsals, a procession at 11:00am, and flash dance events and live performances around noon. The event is free and participatory; RSVPs are requested for dancers and groups, and attendees can learn choreography on-site.
The People vs. Project 2025 is an artistic, populist and public expression of the work being done by many activist community and political advocacy organizations working to oppose the administration of President Donald Trump and what is a dangerous Christian Fundamentalist dogma fronted by the Heritage Foundation. The San Francisco action will include a large scale public performance that includes a procession, multiple performances and that adapts a mix version of the song, The Power by Snap.
The event is divided into segments. Most attendees will be participating in a flash dance activity titled after the name of the event, "We Got The Power" starting at 12:00pm. Individuals interested in taking part in the flash dance, please RSVP and a rehearsal schedule will be sent to you. Or it is possible to learn the flash dance choreography on-site at Civic Center Plaza starting at 10:00am on the day of the event.
