MacCallum asked whether Jeffries supported the NYPD action and why similar tactics were not used in Minnesota. Jeffries said he was unfamiliar with that particular incident and offered to look into it. Jeffries characterized the killing of Alex Pretti as a cold-blooded killing and called the Trump administration's labeling of Pretti as a 'would-be assassin' and 'domestic terrorist' a malignant lie.
