During a White House briefing, reporter Charlie Spiering questioned press secretary Karoline Leavitt about President Trump's connection to Jeffrey Epstein and whether Trump would meet Epstein's victims. Spiering noted public concern that Epstein's victims never received justice and asked if the President cares, wants to deliver more justice, and is willing to meet them. Leavitt said the President cares about victims of all crimes and credited Republicans and the Trump Department of Justice with greater transparency in the Epstein case than prior administrations. Leavitt accused Democrats of concocting a hoax and using victims as political pawns. When asked again whether the President would meet the victims, Leavitt ignored the question and called on another reporter.
