T-Mobile has decided to end its diversity, equity, and inclusion policies, which accompanies less regulatory scrutiny from the Trump administration. The Justice Department has closed its antitrust investigation into T-Mobile's proposed $4.4 billion merger with UScellular. The company seeks FCC approval for this merger and an acquisition of Metronet. The DOJ's assessment noted concerns over competition in the wireless industry and ultimately decided that the transaction would not warrant an enforcement action. Assistant Attorney General Gail Slater highlighted the risks of consolidation affecting market competition.
