A man who crashed his sedan into a Secret Service vehicle protecting President Biden's motorcade on Sunday night was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a spokesman for the police department in Wilmington, Del., said on Monday.
The president had dinner with members of his campaign staff and was discussing his poll numbers with reporters when a silver sedan with Delaware license plates slammed into the S.U.V. just after 8 p.m. Photographers captured the moment, with Mr. Biden turning to look at the accident and appearing surprised before agents rushed him back into his motorcade.
