"However, Ms Okoye said she was not aware of this. Mr Culleton (38) has been held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) officers at a facility in El Paso, Texas since last September. He was detained after it came to light that he had arrived in the US on a tourism visa in March 2009 and remained there after the permitted 90 days."
"Culleton has resided in the United States for nearly two decades and is married to a U.S. citizen. He has no criminal entries since living in the United States. Culleton is married to a US citizen, presents no public safety concerns, and has strong familial and community ties in the United States. Culleton has been separated from his wife, Tiffany, and his family for over five (5) months."
Mr Culleton has been held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers at an El Paso facility since last September after overstaying a tourism visa obtained in March 2009. A petition for review was filed seeking a temporary hold to prevent his deportation and a court ordered the government to respond. The court entered a temporary order staying removal for ten business days. Culleton has lived in the United States nearly two decades, is married to a U.S. citizen, has no criminal entries, and has been separated from his wife and family for over five months. Legal efforts focus on securing his release and immigration relief to enable reunification.
