The court ordered the government to file a response, due in the coming days, and entered a temporary order staying his removal for ten business days. Culleton has been held by ICE in El Paso since last September after overstaying a tourism visa from March 2009. Culleton has lived in the United States nearly two decades, is married to a U.S. citizen, has no criminal entries, and has been separated from his wife and family for over five months. Legal efforts aim to secure his release and obtain immigration relief for reunification.
