Connecticut Dem cuffed again after shoplifting at same Target, faces calls to resign
Briefly

Connecticut State Rep. Raghib Allie-Brennan was arrested twice for shoplifting at the same Target store. He failed to scan items totaling $26.69 during a rush to visit his hospitalized grandmother. Following another incident involving $54.55 worth of merchandise, authorities noted previous unreported larcenies linked to him. Allie-Brennan turned himself in and expressed accountability for his actions, amidst calls from Republicans for his resignation. He was released pending a court appearance after the latest arrest on July 28.
"I've been upfront about taking responsibility for my actions. I'm taking accountability and look forward to continuing my work on behalf of our community."
Store staff told cops they recognized the four-term lawmaker from 'previous unreported larcenies,' according to the CT Mirror.
