Coe targets Musk and Zuckerberg talks over pond life' abuse of female athletes
Briefly

Sebastian Coe plans to prioritize the protection of female athletes from online abuse should he become President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). In light of recent incidents involving athletes like Emma Raducanu and Eilish McColgan facing harassment, he proposes creating a taskforce to enhance safety in sports. Coe intends to engage Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg in discussions about their platforms' role in enabling such behavior. Additionally, he questions the concept of sportswashing and supports Saudi Arabia's potential Olympic bid, advocating for a broad perspective on the use of sports for national promotion.
It's vital that women feel that sport is a safe space...you cannot have young athletes thinking the second you get public exposure that this comes at you like a waterfall of horror.
I've spoken to many female athletes about it. And some of the stuff that the American shot putter Raven Saunders told me made me want to cry. We've got to do more.
Come on, sort this out. Because this is just unacceptable. Sadly, it's not new, but there's just more of it.
I think artificial intelligence actually can really help here in turbocharging some of this stuff out.
