Reporters pressed about potential foreign entanglements beyond Venezuela, including who will run Venezuela and what its future will look like. A televised segment compared his recent, more threatening remarks toward several nations to earlier campaign-era comments opposing "endless regime change wars." In prior remarks he criticized Colombia’s leadership, called for Mexico to "get their act together" over cartel violence, and said the U.S. military should not wage endless regime-change wars.
