A shopper identified on TikTok as Michelea Ponce confronted 72-year-old Target employee Jeanie Beeman over a Charlie Kirk shirt and used profanity, called her stupid and accused her of supporting a racist. Beeman said she was allowed to wear any red shirt and declined to argue, responding, "I'm sorry but I'm not going to sit here and argue with you. Have a nice day." The video went viral, Ponce's social pages were made private, and a GiveSendGo fundraiser organized by Cassandra MacDonald raised pledges exceeding $150,000 in its first day. Beeman said she had worn the shirt several times without prior issue.
