Dean Cain, known for playing Superman on television, is undertaking training to become an ICE agent and participated in an obstacle-course session. A clip released by ICE shows him jumping a fence, crawling through a pipe on all fours, and dragging a dummy. The video prompted widespread online mockery, with users calling the footage embarrassing and questioning ICE training standards. Cain has commented that Superman stands for "truth, justice and the American way," described that American policy must be immigrant friendly but still enforce limits, and criticized James Gunn's reboot as "woke." ICE has been recruiting to fill thousands of positions.
"Superman has always stood for 'truth, justice and the American way,' and the 'American way' is immigrant friendly, tremendously immigrant friendly. "But there are rules. You can't come in saying, 'I want to get rid of all the rules in America, because I want it to be more like Somalia.' Well that doesn't work, because you had to leave Somalia to come here. "There have to be limits, because we can't have everybody in the United States. We can't have everybody, society will fail. So there have to be limits," he repeated.
"Oh, man. Embarrassing for Dean Cain. ICE posting his training session like it's some kind of 'Man of Steel' flex. It tracks with the incompetent, under-trained ICE agents we're seeing on the streets."
