2 men accused of violently stalking California family
Briefly

Two men from San Bernardino County were arrested for a stalking and intimidation campaign against a family in Yorba Linda. Xiang Li and Bowen Zhou targeted the victims with ongoing threats, including a demand for $150,000. Their harassment escalated with the delivery of a knife and a letter, as well as gunfire at the victims' home. During investigations, the FBI found related ammunition and threatening communication devices at the suspects' homes. Each man faces potential federal prison time if convicted.
Beginning in March 2024, a woman identified in court documents as Victim 1 and her family member, Victim 2, began receiving threatening phone calls and text messages demanding $150,000 and warning they were not safe.
On March 15, a knife and threatening letter were left on their doorstep, according to court records. One caller reportedly said, You should know I know where your family lives, and we have a lot of gangsters in the L.A. area.
The threats escalated on April 4, when six gunshots were fired at the victims' home while one of them was inside, the complaint states.
At Li's home, investigators recovered ammunition matching the caliber used in the shooting, a phone used to send threatening texts, and another device that had communicated with Zhou during the stalking incidents.
