Ken Paxton won the Texas Republican Senate primary and attacked Democratic state Rep. James Talarico with multiple derogatory nicknames tied to masculinity. Paxton released an ad pairing Talarico’s image with “Radical Talarico: too low-T for Texas.” Right-wing figures then launched rapid attacks questioning Talarico’s gender and manhood despite him not being transgender. Stephen Miller claimed Talarico was “transitioning into a female” and used mockery about blood tests. Dan Weldon questioned Talarico’s football knowledge as evidence of weak masculinity. Jesse Watters called him a “gay vegan,” then clarified Talarico is neither gay nor vegan.
"“He goes by a few names that you all may have heard of. Some people know him as tofu Talarico. Some people call him six-gender Jimmy. I've even heard some people call him James Talafreako,” he said to laughter and cheers. “And others refer to him simply as Low-T Talarico.”"
