We were ecstatic:' Coast Guard rescues a man clinging to a cooler in open water

Thanks to an emergency locator beacon and a cooler, the boat captain weathered a night in the open water during Hurricane Milton, leading to his miraculous rescue.

Lt. Klopfenstein stated, "We do a lot of searches for people in the water, so to get to have a success story like this is not as common as we'd like it."
