"US investigators on Tuesday released door camera images of a person appearing to tamper with the door camera at the home of Nancy Guthrie, who was reported missing from her home ten days ago. Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC journalist and "Today" show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, disappeared from her home in the southwest US city of Tucson, Arizona, hours after relatives dropped her off there on January 31."
""This will get the phone ringing for lots of potential leads," former FBI agent Katherine Schweit told the Associated Press. "Even when you have a person who appears to be completely covered, they're really not. You can see their girth, the shape of their face, potentially their eyes or mouth. You can see a gait that people around that person may recognize immediately," she said."
Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson home on January 31 after relatives dropped her off. Relatives reported her missing the next day when she did not attend expected Sunday church services. The FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Department released door camera photos and video showing a full-face balaclava-clad individual described as armed. The door camera was disabled in the early hours of February 1 and Guthrie's pacemaker was disconnected from her phone around the same time. FBI Director Kash Patel said images previously inaccessible were pulled from backend systems. Authorities say the images are the first major break and family members have appealed for leads.
