Twin sisters Hanna and Rebecca, aged 8, died in Central Texas floods while attending Camp Mystic. Their parents, John and Lacy Lawrence, are partners in prominent law firms. Another daughter, 14-year-old Harper, survived the flood. The death toll from the disaster rose to 109. The Lawrences expressed deep sorrow, stating their twin daughters brought much joy to their family. John Lawrence's father, David, also shared the family's devastation while recalling the joy the girls brought to their lives. He is an advocate for education and childhood initiatives.
