Trump will join grieving families for the return of soldiers killed in Iran war
"I will be going to Dover Air Force Base tomorrow, with the First Lady and Members of my Cabinet, to pay our Highest Respect to our Great Warriors, who are returning home for the last time. GOD BLESS THEM ALL!"
"The six members of the Army Reserve, who were killed by a drone strike at a command center in Kuwait, were all from the 103rd Sustainment Command based in Des Moines, Iowa, which provides food, fuel, water and ammunition, transport equipment and supplies."
"These soldiers engaged in the most noble mission: protecting their fellow Americans and keeping our homeland secure. Our nation owes them an incredible debt of gratitude that can never be repaid."
President Trump plans to attend a dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base on Saturday with the First Lady and Cabinet members to honor six U.S. Army Reserve soldiers killed in action. The soldiers, all members of the 103rd Sustainment Command based in Des Moines, Iowa, were killed by a drone strike at a command center in Kuwait one day after the U.S. and Israel launched military operations against Iran. The fallen service members are Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor, Capt. Cody Khork, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan, Maj. Jeffrey O'Brien, Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens, and Sgt. Declan Coady. The dignified transfer is a solemn ritual returning remains of fallen service members, which Trump previously described as the toughest duty of a commander in chief.
