Trump said he'd vote for abortion rights in Florida. His campaign says not so fast
Briefly

Former President Trump stated in an interview, 'I'm going to be voting that we need more than six weeks,' referring to Florida's abortion law. He emphasized that he thinks the current six-week ban is too short and expressed favor for a more extended period, coupled with exceptions for cases involving the life of the mother, rape, or incest.
'President Trump has not yet said how he will vote on the ballot initiative in Florida,' said Karoline Leavitt, the Trump campaign press secretary, downplaying Trump's comments. She clarified that while he believes six weeks is too short, this does not indicate his definitive voting choice on Amendment 4 regarding abortion access.
Trump also expressed support for in vitro fertilization (IVF) and would advocate for public funding for the procedure if reelected. 'We just think it's great. And we need great children, beautiful children in our country,' he conveyed during his interview, emphasizing the importance of supporting families dealing with infertility.
Amid controversy during the interview, Trump acknowledged that some anti-abortion activists attempt to limit IVF access due to embryo discarding practices. However, he pointed out that the majority of voters, including many Republicans, actually support access to IVF.
