The latest note demanded payment in a cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin and included a sophisticated demand with graphic descriptions of consequences if the ransom is not paid. TMZ forwarded the information to the FBI, and FBI sources said Mexican authorities were informed and asked to watch for Guthrie. Guthrie's home in Tucson, Arizona, is about 75 miles north of the Mexican border. She was last seen Jan. 31 and could have been transported across the border during the 18-day search. No suspects have been identified and investigators have ruled out Guthrie's immediate family. Today show colleagues displayed yellow ribbons and yellow flowers in support.
