Milford High School was placed under a shelter-in-place lockdown after a male caller reported shortly before 10 a.m. that a student was in a bathroom with a handgun. Police swept the building out of an abundance of caution and completed the search by 10:45 a.m., then lifted the lockdown when the report was deemed a swatting hoax. Officers searched the reported area and interviewed students and staff, finding no threat or weapon. A 16-year-old suspect believed linked to other incidents was detained in Tennessee. School leaders praised the calm response and noted support staff availability for students.
