The hydrothermal explosion in Biscuit Basin, Yellowstone National Park, sent steam, water, and debris high into the sky, causing tourists to run for safety.
Witnesses described the sudden explosion unfolding before them, with rocks falling from the sky and damaging the boardwalk they were on.
No injuries were reported from the incident, but the area was closed for safety reasons after the eruption damaged parts of the boardwalk.
