""I get it," Murray said. "The line on an Indiana-Miami game would have been nowhere near this number all season. Miami would have likely been favored in this game most of the year, actually.""
""Some sharper money has shown up on Miami, both on the money-line and the spread," Joey Feazel, head of football for Caesars Sportsbook, told ESPN. "We still expect Indiana support to build as we get closer to kickoff.""
Sharp-money bets on Miami shifted the betting market for the College Football Playoff championship, moving the spread from Indiana -8.5 to -7.5 at sportsbooks across the U.S. Sharp action arrived Sunday afternoon around 3:35 p.m. ET, and some books reported late-week Miami support. Lookahead lines before the semifinals had Indiana as only 5.5-point favorites, but Indiana's blowout of Oregon pushed the number to 7.5 and then to -8.5 after heavy early money on Indiana. Caesars expects Indiana support to grow closer to kickoff. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Hard Rock Stadium.
