Special counsel Jack Smith filed court papers asking a judge to order Trump to refrain from making further incendiary claims that could endanger FBI agents involved in the case.
Smith argued that Trump's statements about FBI agents being 'complicit in a plot to assassinate him' exposed the agents to risks of threats, violence, and harassment.
