Second man charged with murder in Oakland drug deal ambuscade
"Police identified Fluker as the suspected driver of a car that took several suspects to a pre-arranged location for what was supposed to be a drug deal, but turned out to be an ambush. Tidwell showed up to the location, near Fremont High, and was fatally shot during a struggle."
"Police say Fluker was identified as a suspect through electronic evidence, surveillance footage, and witness statements. He is being charged under the felony murder rule, which allows prosecutors to charge accomplices with murder even if they're not the actual killer, court records show."
"The suspected shooter, 18-year-old Marjee Lil Jae Martin, was charged last month with murder and arrested in St. Louis. After being extradited to the Bay Area, he still hasn't entered a plea, court records show."
Oakland police have made arrests in a December 29, 2025 homicide where Stacy Tidwell IV was fatally shot during what was supposed to be a drug deal but turned out to be an ambush near Fremont High. Micari Fluker, 23, was charged with murder and robbery as the suspected driver who transported suspects to the pre-arranged location. The suspected shooter, 18-year-old Marjee Lil Jae Martin, was arrested in St. Louis and extradited to the Bay Area. Fluker faces charges under the felony murder rule, allowing prosecutors to charge accomplices with murder even if they didn't pull the trigger. Police identified Fluker through electronic evidence, surveillance footage, and witness statements. Tidwell had survived another shooting 16 months prior and was a Campbell Village Gang member.
